YACHTGRID uses spare unwanted electricity from yachts & ships when mored at the dock and supplies surplus electricity back to the shore grid.

All Yacht's and ships use installed generators to supply electricity onboard. Due to regulations, each generator must be able to supply 100% of required power during at sea operations but when at the dock or in low operational use the generators still supply redundant power.

YACHTGRID captures this power and sales it back to the grid, thus the Yacht is paid for suppliing its waste electricity back to the grid.

We are seeking this fund to set up and and start the business.

This technology is found in wind generators or solar power back to the best of our knowledge has not been done within the maritime sectors.

The potential is massive and will reduce the demand on the national grid.
