I am a young lady with disability. I had Polio when I was age three. I grew up with a passion for cleaning. I always wash, sweep and clean with my disability. By God's garce I was able to do things myself and this gave me the power of been Independent.
I read a quote and this inspires me:
'' A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths, feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit, recognise your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities (William Arthur Ward)''.
I sat down and digested this quote and this gave me a very good spirit. I decided to start what I know how to do best in a way that will be profitable to myself, the community and others who have disability.
My project is based on Cleaning, I will like to support people out there who are Polio victims like myself to live a fulfilled life. I have already started to work on a Cleaning Business and would need machines to grow this business. What does this means? Rather than seeking funds all the time to sponsor and promote this initiative the proceeds from the business will go into the campaign. I want to use my disability to prove to people that " There is ability in Inability" .
I am involved in cleaning offices, Surgeries, Schools and Pubs for money with the aim of starting a campaign against POLIO, buy equipment for people with polio(wheelchair, walking aids, clothing materials etc. and also willing to sponsor people with polio in Africa, promote their health, medical advice, professional counselling and advice and good diet advice.
Health is wealth.
