Worcestershire Green Party Election Deposit Fund

A Politics project Worcestershire, United Kingdom

We are raising money to enable a Green Party candidate to stand in every constituency in Worcestershire.

New stretch target

The first £1,000 was to fund two £500 deposits to enable Green candidates to stand in West Worcestershire (Droitwich and Evesham and surrounding villages) as well as Bromsgrove.

The addition £1,000 is to provide some additional money to four other more advanced parties coveing Redditch, Worcester, Wyre Forest and West Worcestershire (Malvern, Upton and surrounding villages and towns) to fund more leaflets in the coming General Election on 7th May.

We are raising money to enable a Green Party candidate to stand in every constituency in Worcestershire.

There are six constituencies in Worcestershire:

Constituency                        Candidate                Worcester                               Louis StephenWest Worcestershire       Julian RoskamsMid Worcestershire          Neil FranksWyre Forest                           Natalie McVeyBromsgrove                            TBARedditch                                   Kevin White

We have the candidates and £500 deposits for Worcester, West Worcestershire, Wyre Forest and Redditch.

We will soon be balloting local members to select a candidate for the Bromsgrove constituency.

We need the remaining two lots of £500 to cover the deposits required to stand a candidate in Mid Worcestershire and Bromsgrove. Any money we raise above this £1000 will be used by the Green Party in Worcestershire to produce leaflets to get our message across to voters.

If we don't raise the £1000 needed for the remaining deposits, some people in Worcestershire will not be able to vote Green at the General Election.

We want real change that benefits people and the environment:

A real change: from austerity and welfare cuts to investment in decent jobs.

A real change: from privatisation for the benefit of the 1% to public management of essential services not driven by corporate greed.

A real change: from subsidies to fracking and dependence on fossil fuels to a sustainable world we can pass on to our children.

Please vote Green at the General Election and also help us to raise that £1000 we need to enable everyone to vote Green if they want to. If enough people give, say, £5 or £10 each, then together we can make sure that there is a progressive option on the ballot paper.

Thank You.
