We are crowdfunding because we need a van so that we can collect and deliver electrical and furniture items from and to those who would not be able to do this otherwise, we will also use the money to develop a training program for new volunteers giving them skills which they can then put on their CV to further their employment options.
WRRRE offers meaningful activities and vocational training in a supportive environment to people who are; ex-forces personnel or have mental health problems; Members of Chavasse VC House can take part in activities to help them get back out doing what they enjoy most. We aim to inspire those who have been wounded, injured or become sick while serving our country and enable them to lead active, independent and fulfilling lives.
Generally people send most of their unwanted goods to the dump as they are beyond economic repair or they have no further use of the item so. Members of the community will be able to avoid disposal costs of large household appliances and reduce the impact on our environment.
Our innovative community approach to diverting waste is now in increasingly high demand as people in the community want to see more support for the project from Wivenhoe Colchester and beyond. We would also like to support others in setting up their own reuse and re-cycling initiatives
