We are making a new piece of theatre, for The Yard Theatre, Hackney Wick, in their annual festival NOW 16. Please help us to make this work, and do join us to see what we have made! 10th May - 14 May 2016.
We are a group of four performers coming together for the first time to make new and curious work. As a collective we engage our interdisciplinary threads - dance, storytelling, live art, installation and spoken word. We are concerned with the interweaving of human and nonhuman; of relations, people and places; of environments and climate change; of learning our own language and playing it out in myriad ways. We ask what happens when the body remembers place, if different possibilities for knowing the world and being together emerge. We speak about where we are, right now, as women balancing between intuition, conviction, doubt, pretence, belief. A convergence of languages, movement is cyclical; there are drums, television screens, a cacophony of findings. We are Laura Burns, Jo Hellier, Simone Kenyon and Jo Blake Cave. Thank you so much for supporting us.
