We are the University of Surrey Theatre Society (aka THESOC).
We have over 40 fantastic members dedicated to being involved with Theatre at the University, in the local community and in larger shows in London. Our Society is all inclusive and we have many members who are international students and those not studying Theatre and Performance as their core degree.
We were founded in 2009 and have been putting on large scale productions once a year ever since.
This year is no different, with our biggest and best yet...
'Widows' by Ariel Dorfman.
However, we need your help!
We are putting on a performance of ‘Widows’ by Ariel Dorfman.
The production is completely student led, from the direction to the production. We are striving to get as many of our members involved as possible. The show will allow our 40 members to get first hand experience of being in a complete production either as part of the cast, or creative team.
Your money will help towards the overall cost of the production, funding costume, set, props and the hiring of a duty technician.
Our campaign goes live on 15th January 2018 and will end on the 25th February 2018.
The performances of 'Widows' take place in February:
Thursday 22nd - 19:30
Friday 23rd - 19:30
Saturday 24th - 14:30 & 19:30
"Widows has been a pleasure to organise thus far. We have had an extraordinary amount of talent and commitment shown in the auditions alone - and so we are very excited to see what this wonderful cast can do."
Asha Ray and Beth Cunningham (Directors)
The performance of Widows will be taking place in PATS Studio Theatre on the University of Surrey Stag Hill campus.
Tickets will be £5 for students and concessions (under 16, 60+) and £8 for adults.
