We are currently raising money for an electronic shutter outside our drop-in centre. On 24th May 2017 our front glass door was malicously damaged for the third time.
WHISC has provided information, training and support on women’s health issues since 1984. The service is delivered by volunteers and six paid staff, through partnership working. As well as a thriving Drop-In Service and Support Centre we also deliver services in the community. We have a proven track record of developing and maintaining essential relationships with women from isolated and marginalised communities (BAMER).
We are a charity that offers holistic and person centred support for women and their families in the local community. We offer bespoke counselling services alongside complementary therapies, support groups and daily activities, to aid and support women in long term mental and physical health recovery.
As a drop-in service for vulnerable women, safety and security is paramount. This is why we are asking for help to secure our premises.
Any money not spent on security will be donated directly to WHISC.
