Winter has truly arrived. The days are cold and the nights are even colder. Temperatures will often remain Sub-Zero for hours, days or even weeks.
Turing up the heating, putting on your dressing gown and slippers, and snuggling up with a warm cupped or glass of mould wine turns this bitter weather into a beautiful winter setting.
But what if you didn't have hot water, warms clothes or heating to put on? Well this this festive dream becomes a shivering nightmare, which couldn't possibly get any worse, right?
What if you didn't have a home, a place to guard you from the harsh elements that winter brings.
MK council receive over 100 homeless application a week which is a staggering amount that the local council and local charities Are not able to accommodate.
Re-homing these people is the solution & must remain the goal, but with the staggering amount of new housing applicants every week, many of these people will not have the shelter, clothes food or resources to survive the winter and may never live to see the day they maybe offered housing.
This page has been set up by a
Group of local guys who have a passion for fishing & are no strangers to sleeping in tents in the cold, but this is done selectively & with all the gear to meet the freezing temperatures. It's our awareness of what the winter days and nights can be like which has influenced this crowd fund and driven us to try and do something for the members of our community must face this night after night.
So this Christmas, please dig out any unwanted warm clothes you may have and give as much as you can afford to help pay for the despratetly needed resources to help the homeless."
