Waltham Forest & Redbridge Green Party

A Politics project London, United Kingdom

Help the Green Party put candidates forward in 5 areas: Chingford & Woodford Green, Ilford North/South, Walthamstow, Leyton & Wanstead.

New stretch target

Thank you!

Thanks for your incredible support! With your help, we now have the money to stand in all five of our constituencies across Waltham Forest and Redbridge.

Campaigning also has its costs. We need to go out and tell the people of Waltham Forest and Redbridge what the Green Party stand for. With just a few days to go before our campaign ends, anything you can contribute towards our stretch target will help us spread the message.

Thanks once again for all your support!

Green Candidates in Waltham Forest and Redbridge – and a Challenge for Iain Duncan Smith

Please help us stand election candidates in all five constituencies in our area

The Green Surge across the UK is reflected in our local numbers. Both our membership, and our active supporters have grown massively in the last year. This is despite little national coverage or media support – just think what we could achieve if we could share our message of real change with every voter in the borough!

To ensure more people in Waltham Forest and Redbridge hear about the Green Party message we need resources, support and election deposits.

Why us, Why now?

  • We have seen in many ways that the austerity agenda has affected our five constituencies – a huge rise in food banks in Walthamstow, Chingford, Ilford – set up within this term of Government. We also know that hundreds of local people support these foodbanks every week – people who know this system is wrong and want to do something about it.
  • Our area includes the constituency of Iain Duncan Smith – who has led policy changes demonising those in poverty and caused stress and even death for people in his own constituency and across the UK. We would like to challenge these actions creatively through his high profile in this General Election.
  • Our message is of real change – investing in sustainable jobs, services for the benefit of all of us, creating more equal communities which make our lives safer and happier.

Help us challenge the actions of this coalition by supporting our campaign at the next election.

It costs £500 just for the election deposit, and to reach everyone in the borough with a mailing a further £500.  We have already raised some funds but we'd like to be able to print leaflets, posters and banners for the area, and also support volunteers to be able to canvass effectively.  For this reason we would like to raise £2000.

Will you help us fight the lies of the current coalition and make the lives of local people better?

* Please ensure that you are on the electoral register - this is a requirement for donating to a political party.
