Volunteering in the Amazon, helping to build more sanitary facilities for a local community and teaching them English

I have been given the opportunity to go over to the Amazon Rainforest for two weeks as part of my University course. Whilst over there we will be helping to build toilet facilities for a local community that live in such a remote area they dont currently have any. this means they use the river to go to the toilet, which they also use to wash in and drink from, this is causing diseases. With the new toilet facilities this can be avoided. I will also be working with the children in the village, helping them to learn English, and rennovating the school, because it is very run down, this means when they are older they can go into the main cities and have better job prospects. Whilst over there I will also be spending some time volunteering in a wildlife rehabilitation centre, will all kinds of native species
