I use textiles creatively, my main experience is in batik and machine embroidery. I would like to develop a career in wardrobe in the theatre but it is necessay for me to develop constructive skills as well as creative and decorative ones- in terms of how a costume is created. This year I took a course at Morley College, Westminster, London, in Georgian Costume Construction and Design. The course was incredibly beneficial, I learned so much but I was also able to bring my own creativity to the costume I constructed. The follow on course is Victorian and Edwardian Costume and Construction, it would mean so much to me to be able to do this course as well- I would be in a position to develop and hone my skills even further.
Any person prepared to donate and enable me to take this course in Victorian and Edwardian Costume Design and Construction will receive a scrapbook, handmade by me, inscribed with the donor's name and containing beautiful Victorian and Edwardian images, photographs and fashion plates. If you have a specific interest concerning the Victorian and Edwardian era, I will focus on images which reflect your interests.
Donations will be received with enormous appreciation and will enable me to take the correct career path which my skills and creativity are guiding me towards.
Thank you! Best wishes
