I have recently been offered a place to study Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at the University of Edinburgh, given how competitive this course can be and how well renowned the University of Edinburgh is world wide, I see this as an incredible honour and opportunity. As this is a graduate entry degree the tuition fees expected yearly are £30,200 and £120,800 in total.
I will graduate from my current degree (Bsc Hons Pharmacology at Glasgow Caledonian University) in July 2017 and hope to start my Veterinary course in the following months. Although having worked part-time throughout the entirety of my current degree I have been unable to make a dent in the tuition fees. Science is my passion and Veterinary Science is a career I have proven to be well suited for, it is also an area in which I could make a difference. My aim is to utilise the in depth knowledge I will have acquired over the 8 years of study to help in the overall progression of the field.
I am currently still working, and having two jobs over summer I hope to save enough for travel expenses, books and extra materials. However, without the help of others, generating the tuition fees appears to be problematic.
Therefore, thank you for taking the time out of your day to read about my background and I am extremely grateful for any help you can offer.
