New stretch target
Any funds raised over and above the £6,000, will be used to cover transport/ expenses to bring on more experienced crew and to lift the budget from it's heavily discounted level in terms of camera equipment, props (art department) and other on screen elements that we would have otherwise been begging, stealing and borrowing.
Vanishing Trick is a short film about family, belonging and the power of blind faith. The project is backed and supported by Creative England (iShorts Scheme) and the BFI Net.Work.
The team are looking for some additional funding. We are keen to cast local talent from Liverpool and use genuine locations to make this story feel as authentic as possible. This requires an additional financial boost, to allow the core team to travel to Liverpool ahead of shooting, hire local cast and crew, meet with the lovely people at the Liverpool Film Office and ensure our script is watertight, bringing this story to life.
When his terminally ill grandfather is brought home to die, a working class Liverpudlian boy convinces himself that he can use the magic tricks the old man taught him to make the tumor vanish.
