Project aim

Students at UCL have been on rent strike for over a month for better conditions in halls. In response, UCL has threatened to fine and expel the protester. The money raised will help pay the fines students have suffered. Together we can show the landlords that they can't get away with vicitmising rent strikers!

Solidarity can win!

In the middle of exams students in two UCL halls have decided to take a stand against their landlords and demand compensation over unliveable conditions and exploitative rents. As a last resort they committed to a rent strike, demanding a fair deal from UCL and compensation for the suffering the managers have caused. Now the university is threatening to levy fines on the strikers, on top of the rip-off rent that they already have to pay!

We believe that students at Hawkridge House and Campbell House deserve better and that the way to end UCL's negligent treatement and sky-high rent charges is to win this strike. With your help, we can win it sooner!

Three pounds - the price of one pint - will go a long way to strengthen the strike against the landlords cruel victimisation and will show them that we are stronger when we are united.
