Trust Maria would like to be able to kick 2016 off with a bang and open our very first Charity Shop but for this to happen we need you! Please help us to make this project a reality by donating whatever you can!
About the project
Hi, my name is Harvey McSloy and I am the chairman of Suffolk based Charity Trust Maria. Being only 21 years of age I was unfortunate to lose my mum to cancer aged only 19. I set up the charity Trust Maria in her loving memory after seeing the amazing care the hospices give back to the community. I would like to expand Trust Maria’s operations by opening up our very first charity shop but to do this I need your help!
Trust Maria is a small, independent, highly personalised direct-aid charity, in memory of Maria McSloy. Trust Maria works with hospices throughout East Anglia providing them with facilities and equipment not normally supplied by the statutory authorities. This can include specialist beds, medical equipment, flooring and chairs etc. Financial contributions come from the fundraising events that Trust Maria organises and from the support of local community fundraising.
Monies raised are given by way of grants to the hospices. Trust Maria was established in 2013, with the principal aim of "Helping our Hospices"
Trust Maria is growing and to enable our continual growth we would love to be able to open up our first charity shop with a difference! That we sell local designers items and good quality goods rather than donated goods. However to enable this to happen we need an upfront fee to be able to get people on board/pay rents etc. Please support Trust Maria and help the hospices.
