Installation of solar pv panels and nessecary equipment on roof of recently upgraded old Pratten type classroom.

Installation of solar pv panels and nessecary equipment on roof of recently upgraded old Pratten type classroom, now used as our new youth hall.

This project, will enable us to reduce costs to our youth halls charges for the current users of this hall who include a judo club, a theatre group in both cases 7 - 25 age groups., the three main benefits in three sentences are 1) Savings, 2) Enable more participation. 3) most important of all helping to keep the unit well into the 21st century

We have had no opposition to our project, if anything we've had nothing but praise and encouragement from our users and beyond, this unit came very close to closing back in 2009. A new board of trustees were sworn in, in the next 4 years we cleared a £3000 deficit left by the previous trustees, also a £10,000 electric bill. We are very proud of our community centre and will go out of our way to accommodate all users young or old. Yes between 2009 - 2013 we only concentrated on the debts whilst doing the bare maintenance of the site, whilst also building up the user group. Both off our halls are constantly in use Monday to Friday, from mother and baby groups, keep fit classes young and over 50's, all the uniformed groups are well represented then there is bingo on Monday nights, there are two dog clubs operate out of the main hall both kennel club registered. There is also the play area which is used by netball teams and five a side football. This is an area that also .needs updating. We still need help to achieve our goal of seeing the centre continuing well into the 21st century. The Trident Youth & Community Centre has been here for well over 40 years. With your help we can see it running for another 40 years
