Trafford Centre for Independent Living (Trafford CIL) would like your help to support one of our services that provides people with disabilities with a social life – for free.
The service is called TDAN (Trafford Disability Activity Network), which organises everything from health walks and cookery sessions to a weekly coffee morning and needs to raise £11,500 a year to pay for a co-ordinator. The service is currently used by more than 200 people in the borough.
The TDAN service is ‘tailor-made’ to be unique to you. Our aim is to improve your health and well-being by working with you to find out what activities you are looking for. We can find any activities that helps improve your health and wellbeing—from film clubs to health walks, gardening groups to Tai Chi and healthy cookery classes for computers.
TDAN Puts on inclusive events in Trafford, often working with other organisations and trains staff at other centres about access and inclusion.
