Traces is a romantic detective drama about a failed private detective (Nelson) who helps an abandoned teenager (Hanna) find her missing mother, while also fearing that their reunion will take her away from him.
WHERE ARE WE?
Set in a world where not only modern technology is absent, but everything seems to have fallen into entropy. Hundreds of citizens have abandoned the city, leaving behind an almost-empty, motionless urban landscape. We see a select few of settings in the city: Nelson’s decaying apartment, where Hanna is hiding, the orphanage that she ran away from and, eventually, the house where Hanna’s mother lives.
WHO ARE THE CHARACTERS?
Hanna (14) has developed her senses to that of a wild animal living on instinct. She is emotionally intelligent, well-equipped and but very hostile for her young age. She has developed an outer shell, so impenetrable that it's almost impossible to become close to her…
That is, of course, unless you are Nelson (37), her devoted sidekick, who has taken her under his protection. The two will become an odd family. What ties them is their misfit nature. They are both seeking the normality of being human to recover. They realise that they can only find what they are looking for in one another.
So, welcome to the crowdfunding page for our film that you now know as ‘Traces’. We’re here to tell you everything you need to know about the film, and update you on how we progress in the coming months.

WHAT IS THIS MONEY GOING TOWARDS?
As we approach 2017, we are also approaching the shooting days of Traces. We have a team of highly capable specialist who are putting all of their love and effort into the project.
However, we need your help. Although most of the money we are looking to raise will go towards the cast and the crew's living expenses, Traces is facing a major challenge. The film takes place in a world, the particularities of which are challenging to achieve. With this first goal of 4500£, We are looking to create a setting as devoid of time as possible, and infuse it with entropy and nostalgia. In order to create the world for Nelson and Hanna, we need your pledges.
Traces is being developed from a team that has been working together for the past three years. We are now a family, just like Nelson and Hanna. We would like to invite you to be part of our family and come make a film with us. You can either donate, or pledge one of our rewards. You have the option to buy the film, come to an exclusive screening, buy original art from the film, or be a sponsor, an associate or even an executive producer.
These rewards are the smallest thank you, and an invitation to our crew. We do hope you join us.
Please, do not forget, every little counts! It really does. Do not forget to share Traces on your Facebook, and other social media. Visibility is equivalently important.
Thank you for your time,
The team of Traces
