Toys for Tongan kids

Toys for remote island children who have none. Provide one of the great joys of childhood, and help foster imagination.

I have the toys - now lets get them to the kids

Nothing beats being a child. One of the great joys is the freedom to play and foster imagination.

Recently I visited a little island in Tonga called Vava'u. Amazingly warm, friendly people who are still living in tight nit communities living day to day off the land. Their philosophy is community first. If your neighbour is hungry, feed them. If you have 2 of something, give 1 to someone who doesn't have one.

One thing I was asked, can 'you help provide my kids some toys'. It is something I think we can all see as an important part of growing up.

It costs so much to buy toys in Tonga or get them shipped to the little island of Vava'u, the children there do not really have any. Especially for the majority of families living day to day, it just is not a possibility financially to provide toys for children.

People have generously donated me 6 boxes of toys. From stuffed animals, rugby and footballs, dolls, books and puzzles.

Now I need your help to ship the toys to the island nation of Vava'u, Tonga.

They are really far away - so its not cheap to send them by land or sea - that is why your support is needed.

I have tried all major frieght companies, and shipping companies able to get to this little island. The quote is £800 + 15% import duty + 5% Tongan Tax to ship the toys.
