The oven is at the very heart of any bakery, you wish for a reliable, long lasting one that transforms your carefully crafted dough into a beautifully crusty loaf. Currently our small domestic ovens are incredibly basic, with no steam function and hardly big enough to bake enough bread to sustain our business, as we have to bake in incredibly small batches due to size and function, this takes a long time. We are looking at purchasing a re-conditioned deck oven in the hope of growing our small business and offering us the ability to supply more local people with lovely freshly made, artisan bread.
We're a small, independent bakery based in Hull, East Yorkshire. We bake hand crafted, additive-free, fresh artisan bread and baked goods using the best quality ingredients, including locally grown and milled organic Yorkshire flour. We’re delighted to be a thriving part of our local community by supplying local cafes and health food shops with our real bread.
We keeps things simple and uphold the traditional time-honoured methods of baking bread. Our bread is baked fresh every morning using a slow fermentation technique that ensures the greatest possible freshness and flavour. We don’t use any baking aids to increase shelf-life or volume and all our bread is lovingly handmade. We are passionate about using all natural ingredients, this means that our bread is free of any harmful chemicals and bursting with more nutrition and taste.
Real bread has depth of flavour and a chewy crust that you just wouldn’t find on a supermarket shelf. We hope that by highlighting our fresher, healthier and more nutritious approach this will encourage people to take a step away from mass produced bread, towards real bread, made with care and passion.
