Timebanking is a reciprical exchange of skills where 1 hour = 1 hour and everyone is valued equally. Time banks use timebanking as a tool to create environments for people to exchange thier skills for time. Timebanking is important as it promotes equality, helps build communities and can improve health and well-being of members.
Who we are
Timebanking UK are an umbrella charity organisation supporting over 300 time banks throughout the UK. We offer software, training, guidance and support to our members. This November we are holding a conference in Stirling Scotland, offering a variety of workshops and presentation, including a seminar by Edgar Cahn, the leading expert in Timebanking.

Our request to the crowd
A large number of timebanks are voluntary led, therefore have no funding for them to attend our conference. Our conference is a valuable opportunity for time banks to gain ideas, support and help to achieve sustainablilty and progression of their time banks. We are looking for financial support to enable worthy time banks to join us.
Your support will go towards travel and accomodation costs for our members who otherwise would not be in a position to attend.
Here is some feedback from our last conference.
“As a really new time bank, the knowledge, expertise and networking has been invaluable. Every Session has been useful and thought provoking. I have loads of ideas to put into practice and meeting up with my regional team again was great.”
“Fantastic conference. Really great time of networking, sharing ideas and consolidating friendships.”
“The presentations were really well thought out and the content was relevant and useful.”
Thank you for taking the time to read our request and we hope you can help our members attend.
