So I am able to move out of my house, where I have been caring for my mum with MS since I was 11yo to help my dad out.
About the project
My mum has been suffering from MS since I was born in 1992. Since then she had my little brother who is now 18 years old and is lucky enough to be living with his patner.
I attended university and I am now working in central london however I am still living at home. I would love to now move out and start my own life. Since I was 11 years old I have been helping my family out as much as I can and once I had started secondary school I would pick up my brother from primary school and take him to parties etc to give him the best childhood possible whilst my dad worked to be able to pay for carers throughout the day for my mum.
My parents have been amazing throughout my life but unfortunately do not have the money to help me move out. It can be very difficult when I am doing work at home and I need to pick my mum from the floor every 10 mins to cleaning up after her. It did result in me getting skin problems and other issues which I am happy to discuss privately.
If I was given the chance to move out, our church community will be visiting more often and the carers will be taking her out on day trips so in essence it is a win win for all.
Anything you can give it would be greatly appreciated and I will donate 10% of what I raise to the MS Society which I will show via photos.
Thank you for reading this.
