Hello and thanks for looking at our project,

On December 15th 2015 Andy Warner and Sean McGuigan will set off from La Gomera to row 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean to Antigua unsupported. We will not have an engine. We do not have sails. We will be rowing the whole way. We will be making our own water, we will carry our own food. We will power our kit and watermaker using solar energy.

We are doing the crossing to raise money for two amazing charities. The Alzheimer's society and St Clare's Hospice. we aim to raise £100'000 for the charities. So far we have raised the majority of the funds needed to do the challenge by selling advertising on our boat the Men of Iron. However there are lots of costs involved. We are now very close to the start and need to raise £4000 to pay essential costs. This is our final hurdle. We are asking for public help to raise this £4000 to help us to raise a far greater amount for our charities.

The row is described as the worlds toughest rowing race. We will be at sea for up to 2 months. We will be rowing 24 hours a day in 2 hour shifts. one rows, one sleeps. we will not have a safety boat following us. When I say unsupported I mean unsupported. Nobody else is allowed to hand us supplies or give us assistance. We will be navigating, carrying our own food and powering the boat. We have both sacrificed a lot to do this for our charities. We have trained to become qualified RYA Ocean Yachtmasters specifically for the challenge. Neither of us have ever rowed or done anything like this before. We decided to do this as we want to raise as much as possible for our charities and in order to do this you need to do something extraordinary.

Please help us to make this a reality by donating. See our rewards section to find out what we will offer in return for your generousity.

Many thanks

Sean and Andy
