Thomas Gamuel Primary is situated in a very busy London Borough of Waltham Forest.
Many of our children have been unable to cycle, scoot or walk to school due to conjestion in the area but the school want to encourage more families to avoid travelling by car and use a healthy method to getto school.
Thomas Gamuel want to improve access to equipment, cycle proficiency and road safety awareness.
We are aiming to do this by building a scooter parking area and improving our current bike shed.
We also want to conduct cycle training for pupils and their families around the school grounds and the local area. The school will need to purchase bikes for children to learn on and hold cycle surgeries.
Thomas Gamuel is situated in one of the most deprived wards in Waltham Forest, therefore many families cannot afford bikes or scooters for children. The school want to purchase a set of each to teach children how to use the items safely and improve their health
