It is with great sadness that i have to make this Crowdfunder appeal to help our community organisation get back on it's feet and support the groups we work so closely with to access angling and social action projects. We are appealing for help after callaus thieves broke into our education centre and stole all of our ICT equipment including laptops, computers, digital cameras, tablet computers as well as tools and specialist fishing equipment we use to deliver our education, enrichement and rehabilitation programmes to young people with disabiltiies and the local stroke and brain injury groups we support.

We are a not for profit community interest company established in 2011 created for the sole purpose of offering one to one support for young people with speical education needs and disabilities as well as children in looked care through angling coaching, fishery management and other land-based and outdoor activities. The equipment that has been stolen is needed so we can provide new alternative experinces as well as education opprtunities such as BTEC qualification for the young people and allow them as part of this to plan and then deliver community fishing events for the local disability charities and stroke groups.

The theft has obviously had a huge impact on our day to day runnings and some of our programmes and provisions have even ground to a halt.

"This is devestaing for everyone associated with Fir Tree Fishery. The total cost of this is equpment is over £17,000 and fundemental to everthing we do on a daily basis to support our beneficaries. Perhaps most upsetting of all is the theft of the fishing tackle which is specialist equipment and was purachsed to directly support people with disabilities. We had only recently purcahsed this following a grant from Wigan Council and so many of our members were so excited to use it. Now they will never get the chance..."

This is a huge pledge from everyone at Fir Tree Fishery CIC to ask for donations and to support our appeal so we can get back on out feet as soon as possible and do what we love doing.

Thank you in advance from everyone at Fir Tree Fishery CIC
