We are a team of 8 students at The University of Glasgow, all with a passion for nature and the environment. This expedition has been running for numerous successful years and we hope to carry on it's valuable research.

We want to raise funds to help get us to the Isle of Islay this summer to partake in new and exciting research on a number of species across the island. We will be studying some rare and endangered species as well as find new facts about species that aren't well studied. It is also our goal to go into schools both in Glasgow and on the island to help educate young children about the wildlife around them and the great need for its conservation

Our environment and the wildlife it contains are something that everyone should hold dear and to the utmost importance. Sadly some species, such as the Chough bird, are already endangered in the UK and others are becoming vulnerable. It's a passion of every member on the team to learn the most we can about the animals close to home and to do valuable conservation work while staying on one of the most beautiful islands in Scotland.

Money will go towards equipment, accommodation and transportation for us on the island

The expedition will take place from the 4th of June until the 17th of July. Supporters can find us on Facebook and on our website to keep up to date with all of our progress
