Throughout September Devon & Cornwall Police have been taking part in the National Cycle Challenge on the Love to Ride Peelers website.
In partnership with Love to Ride and Devon & Cornwall Police, Little Bleeders are asking all Force staff to ride all or part of the way to work and donate the money they save on petrol or public transport to our charity on the 30th September.
Alex Dowsett, the chair of Little Bleeders - and a haemophiliac himself - said "I’m thrilled that the Peelers Project is supporting our charity, your valuable contributions will go directly to help young haemophiliacs take part in healthy activities, and access information and guidance so I sincerely thank you”
Donating £5 is around the average daily saving of switching your commute from car to bike. A £10 donation provides a vital support pack for a family who’ve just found out that their child has haemophilia. These packs are a vital resource for families, as they come to terms with the condition and the impact it has on the 'Little Bleeders' life.
Wil Woan, Director of Little Bleeders also points out," It's massively important that we continue to support young people with haemophilia and their families, to lead healthier and physically active lives and the Love to Ride Peelers project is a strong message to those families that physical activity is crucial for improved health but it’s also lots of fun!” Please see our website for more information and follow us on Facebook and @LittleBleeders
