We are opening a sandwich shop and are in need of funding. We can fund part of it ourselves but as it stands cannot afford a van. We both took voluntary redundancy and decided it was time to take the leap of faith and go into business on our own. We are using local producers wherever possible and all of our products are sourced from the UK. That's not to say we are against outside trade but we want to support small businesses like ourselves.
We aim to stock organic produce wherever it is possible and for the most part, it is. We are trying to give vegetarians, vegans and vegetarians more choice than is usually available in most establishments. We are keen to bring good food to the local workers at a price that they can afford and promote the businesses that we work with. We use producers who are known to be ethical and are trying to put people before our profits. We aim to deliver to local businesses so that workers can have a nice sandwich or salad of their choice delivered to them or collected from our shop as many businesses in our area are unable to provide healthy, cost effective catering.
We are applying for our A3 license so that we can provide hot food also. We will be providing outside catering and aim to eventually open another cafe and attend events. We know it's a long shot, asking others for help financially but at this point we have nothing to lose. The money donated will either go towards equipment or a van. We already aim to employ 2 people so we hope to also be able to generate jobs in the area. We hope The Lunchery will become a trusted brand and allow us to expand, generating more jobs and more business for local producers.
