The London Arts Board is a dis-used municipal notice board on a piece of wasteground on the corner of Peckham Road and Vestry Road, Camberwell. It is now a gallery dedicated to giving emerging artists the chance to have a solo exhibition in London.
The Camberwell Arts Festival have invited us to stage a Retrospective exhibition, indoors, to allow people to see ‘in the flesh’ the work of the emerging artists the Arts Board has been supporting since 2012.
A usual exhibition on The London Arts Board costs just £24.99; the cost of printing an image of the work on poster paper. I then climb over the fence to get to the Board, and use wallpaper paste to paste up the exhibition.
Installing and readying a 'real' gallery costs a bit more money.
If you are able to make a contribution to help cover the cost of the gallery hire, security staff, rawl plugs and polyfiller we would be most grateful.
If we can raise the £500 to cover the cost of the gallery hire, then the artists will be able to keep 100% on the sale of their work.
There will be painting, photography, film, drawing, collage and sculpture.
