The Liverpool Virginia Youth Pilgrimage

The Liverpool Virginia Pilgrimage brings together young people from around the world to learn about transatlantic and modern forms ofslavery

The Liverpool Virginia Pilgrimage brings together young people from around the world who are members of Liverpool Diocese or its link dioceses. The two year project focuses on the transatlantic slave trade and how contemporary forms of slavery including human trafficking impact globally. The young people are encouraged to see themselves as key to forging a new global future, working with their immediate and international peers to gain new skills, raise awareness and grow into future leaders of influence and change.

We are raising money to help the young people experience first hand the legacy and current impact of slavery. The young people will join together for two trips to each others contexts in 2017.
