About the project
The John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank is for young people aged and incliuding 21 years old. It offers grants up to £1,000 for individuals and groups to enable them to to make their idea happen www.youthenterprise.co.uk THE JCYEB is not just about offering financial support to a potential young entrepreneur it also gives them access to a mentor who is a member of the management group as well as facilitating publicity for them in the local media and via social media. To-date it has supported over 350 enterprising young people since it was established in 2003.
The JCYEB also develops enterprise activities in schools and colleges and has recently produced an enterprise game that was presented to HRH The Duke of York and the Government Enterprise Adviser Lord Young which illustrates the organisations in the area that supports enterprising young people.
In September 2015 it was shortlisted in the European Enterprise Promotion Awards after it was selected to represent the UK in these Awards.
