My name is Chenella Walker and I am one of the directors from The Hired Secretary along with my business partner Jodianne Griffiths. We started our company in January 2016 of this year and became a limited company in April of the same year.

The reason that we started this company is that me as a single parent for over 14 years I remember the struggles as well as the fears of finding and keeping a job that worked around my desire to be there for my daughter growing up. I tried so hard to find work from home but all of them either involved paying out money or lead to nothing.

In 2015 I started up my family's business which was run from home it became very successful and was Which? approved within 6 months I realised that I could help other's to work from home whilst assisting startups and others to have the same advantage and look of a professional long standing company. Thus The Hired Secretary was born.

The Hired Secretary are reaching out to ask if you could help us fund the next stage of our growth? This will ensure that we can continue to help even more people back into work. We need a total of £25,000 but are aiming to raise at least £10,000 before January the 16th 2017 so that we can get sufficient office space and an essential recruitment app built for our company.

Another reason we need funding is that we need more team leaders (a team leader works on behalf of the remote PA'S helping and assisting them with the needs of each client) these team leaders will now have to work onsite and no longer remotely as is currently the case, so as to ensure that all our remote PA's and admin support receive the best assistance possible and also to ensure the best results for our clients.

The funding will also go towards us getting essential office equipment relevant to our industry.

A percentage of the funding will be used on updating and freshening our advertising material, as well as towards advertising for new candidates in 2017 and new clients, and to ensure more staff training.

We did not take out a loan or run off of an overdraft or credit card to start or fund our business. From our beginnings, we have self-funded but now we are at a point where funding is both needed and essential.

The Hired Secretary are about changing lives. Every time we assist back into work a single parent, the unemployed and much more we change a life for the better. Your funding will help us to continue doing what we are doing and also make you part of that change in someone's life.
