Join EDG as we place empathy in the heart of our city! Your support will help us develop The Empathy Hub and a 2017 Empathy Festival.

The Empathy Hub will be a welcoming place for people to meet, eat and drink. People from all walks of life will use the space and facilities as equals. You will also be able to buy beautiful, hand-crafted products in our Hub's shop, Fulfil. Fulfil stocks high quality goods made or produced by people with and without labels of disability. You can buy a gift or beautiful piece of art for your home whilst knowing you are supporting a vibrant and inclusive social enterprise!

Edinburgh's Festival of Empathy celebrates the concept of empathy. All of our events offer the chance to step into somebody else's shoes and see and feel things from another point of view. From exhibitions, to guided tours, from panel discussioins to empathy meals, you can help us ensure that in 2017 we can again offer events for free.

If we raise £1000: we will be able to support two emerging artists (who don't have resources to 'front up' the money) to prepare their work for sale; we can rent a 'pop-up' space for Fulfil for a month; we can pay for two workshops at the 2017 Festival of Empathy, we can host an empathy meal; and we can afford some all-important development time for each of these initiatives.

If we raise £3000: we can support four emerging artists to prepare their work for sale; we can host a one day Empathy Festival full of events in 2017 (woohoo!); we can rent a pop-up space for Fulfil for three months; and we can have more development time for each of these initiatives.

If we raise £5000: we will have the funds we need to host a two-day Empathy Festival filled with even more free events in 2017; we will be able to produce and distribute the Empathy Hub Storybook (a booklet of stories about our work, our artists and producers, empathy research and more!); we will be able to support six emerging artists to prepare their work for sale; and we can afford even more all-important development time for each of these initiatives! We will also be able to reach a point where we can move on from our initial pop-up shop for Fulfil.

If we raise above our target of £5000, we will have a longer festival (how wonderful it would be to have another 2-week festival!) and it will give us more time to support artists, producers and secure a permanent home for the empathy hub over the next year. 81214-5503d627769adab5735af414e0536b93.p
