The Beach Hut

The Beach Hut

To open a coffee shop where I plan on serving not just great coffee but also a warm welcome to anyone in need of a friendly face.

Unfortunately, this project was not successful

This coffee shop has been in the planning for years and years. It has always been a dream of mine since I discovered that the only things I'm  good at is taking care of people and baking. The coffee shop was on target to be open before Christmas but unfortunately my eldest daughter, who was 13 at the time fell off a horse on the beach and fractured her skull, despite wearing a helmet. She was rushed to A&E  where they immediately suspected a bleed on her brain, it was the most terrifying experience of my life. Having already lost both my parents to cancer the thought of losing my daughter was one which I found hard to bear. The location I've chosen for The Beach Hut Coffee Shop is a beautiful spot near the beach in Bundoran, County Donegal. But being close to some cliffs and dangerous tides it is also a place of sadness where people have lost their lives to the sea. Some by way of a tragic accident, others through feelings of sadness and despair. This where I want to help. I will be creating a support group with regular meetings for anyone struggling alone as I am all too aware of how isolated you can feel when there's no one to talk to if you're feeling low. I also hope that everyone who walks through my door will feel as welcome as an old friend and that they feel valued and cared for.  I just have a last few jobs to finish off to get it ready and open my door but unfortunately my funding has run out.  I was victim to internet fraud and my last £500 was taken with little hope of ever getting it back. Please help if you can, I promise free coffee and cake to anyone kind enough to donate and you'll also be part of making The Beach Hut Coffee Shop a place where lost souls can be found together xx
