We're through to the last stages of the London International Acapella Choir Competition, but need your help to be able to compete.
About The Templar Scholars
We are an ensemble of young professional singers at the start of our careers, and the London International Acapella Choir Competition is our opportunity to establish ourselves on the international stage. We are crowd funding to supplement our limited funds in order to pay our singers a proper fee for their work.
The accolade of winning a prize in a competition like this is key to the establishment of new, emerging groups around the globe. So far the group has cut its teeth on the British stage with recitals at Southwark Cathedral, St. Martin In The Fields and the National Portrait Gallery, as well as performances on BBC Television and a Christmas Day broadcast on BBC Radio. Now we feel that we're ready to take the group to the next level, but we need your support.
Participating in this competition will require a significant financial commitment. This is because we want to give our young professionals a fair deal as they sacrifice working hours to rehearse and compete with us. Beyond this, there's music to buy, performance rights to arrange, and travel expenses to cover.
All young musicians deserve to be paid a fair wage and not expected to work for free. If you share our principles, please consider supporting us.
We've thought of a whole raft of gifts and rewards to say thank you to our supporters, from photoshoots, singing lessons for you or a friend, tickets to our Christmas recital and drinks reception, and even a carol singing visit to your home or workplace (Greater London only). Take a look to see how your kindness will be rewarded...
