"It costs £500 to field one candidate. Support democracy by helping us provide people in Telford and The Wrekin the option to vote for a Green voice.
During the 2017 General Election we are fielding two candidates. Luke Shirley in Telford and Pat McCarthy in The Wrekin. You can find out more about each of them here: Pat in The Wrekin and Luke in Telford.
We are extremely proud to be able to offer people the chance to vote for us but, as a grassroots party, we can't rely on non-doms and big business donations to clear the path to democracy for us.
We are looking to raise £1500. This money will go towards fielding candidates and spreading the word about the Green message through leafletting, canvassing and events across both of the constituencies we cover.
Our members have already been working extremely hard to pick up the bulk of our costs but we do need that final push from all those supporters and activists out there who believe in equality not poverty, public services in public hands and power to communities.
We're a relatively new local party with a small, but growing band of members. The established parties have already started spending big on their campaigns. We rely upon the good will of our members and supporters and through taking a creative approach to using the limited resources we have to mounting an effective campaign. We are extremely grateful for any support that you can give us.
By making a donation you confirm that you are eligible to make political donations in the UK, and that this donation is not made for or on behalf of any other person. All donations received are subject to the regulations of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000.
