We are a local childrens cancer charity trying to raise enough funds to be able to supply every child in the nottinghamshire area with a Hammonds drysuit.
These drysuits are vital to a child that has a hickman line. Hickman lines are tubes that are inserted inside the childs body during surgery. Hickman lines allow the child to get vital medicine and chemotherapy that is needed to treat their cancer. Unfortunately the Hickman line(known by the children as wigglies) are not allowed to get wet and have to stay dressed and sterile. Therefore such a simple thing as a bath is not an option.
Can you imagine your child not being able to splash about in the bath or not being able to enjoy playing in the paddling pool in the summer. This scenario is unfortunately all too common for cancer children,Team Rossi Foundation are trying to change that by supplying drysuits that will enable them to enjoy playing in the paddling pool, sitting in the bath and doing the simple things in summer that most kids take for granted.
Thet are however very expensive and we are trying our best to raise £5000 to start our drysuit appeal.
Thank you for reading, please help if you can.
