Tameside Green Party Snap General Election Fund

A snap General Election has been called, and we need some snap fundraising in order to stand and campaign!

We did it!

On 12th Jun 2017 we successfully raised £278 with 9 supporters in 42 days

A snap General Election has been called, and we need some snap fundraising in order to stand and campaign!

It costs £500 to field one candidate. Support democracy by helping us provide people in Tameside with the option to vote for a Green voice.

There are 3 constituencies in the Tameside borough - Ashton-Under-Lyne, Stalybridge & Hyde, and Denton & Reddish. This snap General Election gives us just 7 weeks to find the funds and organise a campaign to ensure their is a Green candidate on these ballot papers.

We are extremely proud to be able to offer people the chance to vote for us but, as a grassroots party, we can't rely on non-doms and big business donations to clear the path to democracy for us.

We are looking to raise at least £500. This money will go towards fielding a candidate with a low budget campaign of social media, street stalls, canvassing and media work. If we exceed our target we can increase our campaigning to include leaflets, and we can stand a second candidate.

Donate today:

25 people donating £20 will ensure we can stand in one constituency

10 people donating £50 will ensure a leafet 40,000+ leaflets to voters

5 people donating £100 pays the deposit for one candidate

Our members have already been working extremely hard to pick up the bulk of our costs but we do need that final push from all those supporters and activists out there who believe in equality not poverty, public services in public hands and power to communities (change messaging of that last line to suit)."

By making a donation you confirm that you are eligible to make political donations in the UK, and that this donation is not made for or on behalf of any other person.  All donations received are subject to the regulations of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000.
