Taking the homeless off the streets

Taking the homeless off the streets

I am trying to raise funds to take the homeless off the streets and into housing and try give them a fresh start.

Unfortunately, this project was not successful

recently walking through leeds city centre on a bitterly cold morning I couldn't help realise the number of homeless people bunched up in doorways, laying on benches throughout the city centre and cramped up in phone boxes, I have always given money and food to the homeless but I feel that just isn't enough, the homeless shelters in leeds are full and cannot cope, what I am hoping to do is raise £70000 to buy a terraced house just out of the city centre, I will then use my skills as a joiner to convert as much space in the house in to a comfortable room hopefully the end product will be able to house 4/5 people, I will then be able to take 4/5 homeless off the streets and give them a fresh start, hopefully this will give them the second chance in life that they need, if I successfully raise the money then I will contact the local paper advertising what I am doing and see if there is any job opportunities out there for them, when they get their life turned around and moved out that will leave room for another  homeless person to come in and hopefully do the same, I also think if this becomes successful  other people could be inspired in other city's across the U.K to do the same, we are in the 21st century and I don't believe people should be sleeping outside not knowing where their next meal is going to come from and living in awful conditions with everyone's help we can at least make a start to end this, thank you for reading and thank you for donating.
