Who are we?
Sweet Nothings are the University of Exeter’s premier all-female contemporary A Cappella group!
Founded in 2006, they are the University’s oldest A Cappella group and have grown over the years to become one of the best groups in the UK.
This year 'Who Run The World?' follows three consecutive shows since August 2014, which included 5* reviews from A Cappella enthusiasts to audience members experiencing this music for the first time.
We are back for our fourth year at the Edinbrugh Fringe Festival, ready to give the boys a run for their money! Performing songs traditionally sung by men, but with the style and sass of women, we pay tribute to some of the best male talent around, whilst never forgetting who run the world!
As well as having starred on BBC Two's The Choir: Gareth's Best in Britain in November 2016, they are International Collegiate Competition semi-finalists and Voice Festival UK finalists, recently having won accolades for 'Outstanding Choreography and Stagecraft' and 'Outstanding Soloist'.

What are we doing?
Attending the Fringe is not student-budget friendly, let alone performing in it. All of Sweet Nothings funding is raised through the hard work of our members - busking in our home city of Exeter and performing for various venues and university societies.
Performing at the Fringe is something that we are extremely proud to be a part of. However, from venue hire to posters and flyers, it can become an expensive venture and to make the show the best that it can be, we need your help to make this show happen!
How your money will help us:
In 2017, Sweet Nothings are producing their second charity single and music video, where 100% of the profits go to charity. This year, they are raising money and awareness for Robbie's Rally - an incredible charity dedicated to the support and rehabilitation of children with brain tumours.
To learn more about the Keville Family and why the charity was set up, watch 'robbiesrally: The Backstory' which is linked below
The projected budget income from ticket sales allows us to spend our time and money on these types of projects, ones we are truly passionate about. However, this means that in order to continue showcasing our music at the Fringe, we need your help to cover the final costs left to pay (as shown in the budget).
We are so incredibly grateful in advance for your support with Sweet Nothings’ 4th Edinburgh Fringe production 'Who Run The World?', in our strongest year yet. Your donation to the project allows us to continue pushing the boundaries of female A Cappella.
