The small Greek island of Lesvos is currently struggling to support the 1000s of refugees who have reached its shores hoping to find safety for their families.
Lesvos is currently in a critical situation, with 1000s of people who have fled from war hoping for a safer life for their families. They are fleeing unimaginable misery and danger and are far from being safe yet.
Lesvos is currently overstretched and are relying on volunteers and donations of essential aid.
Winter has arrived and it will only get colder in Lesvos. Supplies are still desperately needed; tents, blankets, sleeping bags, socks, shoes, coats; food and medical supplies, to name but a few.
I am heading to Lesvos on the 18th December to volunteer my help. I will work every day I am there to do what I can to help with whatever is needed. I am taking a career break and self - funding as much as I possibly can. If you would like to help me bring aid to the refugees on Lesvos, maybe you would like to donate a small amount to help provide basic needs. I will try and buy most of these items locally in Greece to help the local economy also.
May we one day find a world where people are not forced to flee; where all humans are valued equally - where compassion prevails!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart xxxxxxx
