The Green Party is growing in North Kirklees. We have more members than ever, polled our highest votes yet in both Dewsbury and Batley & Spen constituencies in 2015 and now in 2017 we are ready to make a strong challenge to the old, grey parties in the area.

Greens have selected local party Co-ordinator, Simon Cope for Dewsbury constituency, which also covers Mirfield, Kirkburton and Denby Dale. Meantime Alan Freeman, our Diversity Officer, has been selected for Batley & Spen.

The Green candidates have pledged to campaign on keeping the NHS in public hands, including protecting services at Dewsbury hospital; working to end the massive pollution problem which is claiming over 300 lives a year in Kirklees, many in the congested north; and work for more jobs, better, sustainable housing and better transport links to the area.

Unlike the other parties, Greens deliberately avoid big financial backers and instead depend on our members and supporters, on citizens like YOU to make our campaigns happen.

£10 will buy 100 posters

£20 will buy 1,000 leaflets

£50 will pay for a massive social media campaign on climate change, or human rights, or inequality

So please help us make this happen. Please donate on the side panel. Every donation from £1 upwards is welcome and will be put powerfully to effective use taking the Green message to every corner of the area before the election on 8 June and beyond. Please help us make real, lasting change for everyone in our area; for the Common Good.

Thank you.

IMPORTANT : All levels of donation are gratefully received, but please note that under electoral regulations, we can only accept donations of £50.01 or more if you are currently on the UK electoral register.
