New stretch target

Wow, we’ve done it! We’re now overfunding. Thank you so much for your kind support. Strivers on future courses will be guaranteed to have reliable IT!

We are now launching a stretch target of £6,000.

We'll still be purchasing the mobile IT hub but we'll now be getting 20 of the Linx and 5 laptop computers with design software, to allow entrepreneurs to design their own flyers, business cards and logos.

Thank you so much for your support for the people on the Strive programme! Please tell all your friends, families, colleagues, next door neighbours, pets etc. etc. etc. so we can get some high quality equipment for use on our courses.

All the Best,

The Enterprise CUBE Team

Who are Enterprise CUBE?

We’re a social enterprise that works in disadvantaged communities across England to provide business start-up training and support. We recognise that many people within these communities are discouraged from starting their own businesses, as they are daunted by the masses of jargon-filled information out there, and frustrated that there are few affordable ways of getting help to make sense of it all. We partner with housing associations, local councils and community groups to give our grassroots entrepreneurs (we call them Strivers) the practical skills and information they need to get their businesses up and running. Importantly, we never charge Strivers for our services.

What is Strive?

We help grassroots entrepreneurs through Strive, a business course with a difference. The trainers at Enterprise CUBE have distilled nearly 40 years of business experience into a jargon-free, practical and exciting training programme. Over the course of the 13-week Strive programme, we give entrepreneurs the help they need to get their businesses started, including marketing advice, help with business plans and how to successfully manage finances. Since starting in late 2012, we have seen nearly 500 entrepreneurs graduate from the Strive programme, and, having gained in skills and confidence, many go on to start their own businesses. We never cease to be inspired by the achievements of our Strivers, many of whom have had to overcome significant challenges in their lives before joining Strive. We want to be able to offer everyone on our programme the best resources we can, which is why we need your help...

Why are we crowdfunding?

I.T. is a vital part of modern business and something that many of us take for granted. Some of our Strivers may not have their own computers, or may be using unreliable and out of date equipment. The skills we teach on the Strive programme are brought to life much more when the Strivers try them out for themselves, designing websites, running cash flow forecasts and putting together professional-looking business plans. We currently have a small number of computers to use during classes, but we need more. We want to be able to provide additional computers to give our Strivers an even more hands-on learning experience.

For this reason, Enterprise CUBE would like our supporters to help us invest in a mobile I.T. hub to ensure that wherever we go in the country, the entrepreneurs we work with will have access to the computers they need.

If we’re able to secure funding of £2,200 from our supporters, we will invest in:

15 Linx 1010B - 10’1 Inch Tablets & Keyboards with Office 365 Subscription

Protective Cases and Screen Protectors

A suitcase to transport the hub
