Who are we?
We are a localised peer support group for young adults with anxiety disorders, aiming to offer help, support, guidance and a safe space to talk.
Stressed and Well-Dressed* - What we're about
This group is made up of like-minded young people who are suffering or have suffered from anxiety disorders in their everyday lives. This can include things like generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, OCD, social anxiety disorder and specific phobias, as well as those who are just going through a difficult time and wanted to talk about dealing with anxiety.
^ Don't let this be you, it's not an attractive look.
We're all in this together; whether you’ve just been diagnosed, you have been going through treatment for some time, or even if you’re simply struggling with anxiety in your day to day life and aren’t sure where to turn. Turn to us.
Our age range is generally from 16-24 as we feel this is the best age group that we can support through our shared experiences. Sometimes, just talking helps, and being around people who understand your struggles and can relate. Be the change you want to see - and you might be able to help someone else along the way.
The money we raise here will be used for educational resources such as books, courses, training and self-help materials. It will also be used to help raise awareness in our local community so that young adults know how we can help them should they need us.
*you don't really have to be well dressed. You can wear pjyamas or a giraffe costume if you'd like.
