Project aim

A beautiful stained glass window has been designed for installation at the Bromley by Bow Centre in memory of Vanessa Barker. Please help fund materials & installation.

About the project

A beautiful bespoke stained glass window has been designed in memory of Vanessa Barker for installation at the Bromley by Bow Centre where she worked in a window space overlooking the park and gardens she designed. There is a shortfall in funding for the materials and installation of the window.   A lot of time, effort and care has already been put into the design and collecting the specialist antique glass and funding is now required to fund the shortfall to cover material costs and allow the window to be installed for everyone to enjoy.   A small contribution from friends, family and colleagues will help cover the funding gap so please help in any way you can.  More details are below:

You may remember from my Mum's memorial service that the Bromley by Bow Centre made a wonderful gesture in committing to dedicate a space overlooking the gardens she designed for a specially designed stained glass window.  With the help of some very talented friends and colleagues at the centre a design was produced in her memory and antique coloured glass collected, including a few treasured pieces of glass that had been saved for many years.   The window has now been made and I hope you will agree that it is beautiful - see attached photo.  However, the Centre have asked if there might be any option I could raise some money to help towards materials and installation costs.   As you know, the centre is a charity and budgets are always carefully balanced.

I am happy to contribute but wondered if you would all consider giving a small amount towards it too to allow the window to be installed and for everyone to enjoy.  I imagine there will be some sort of unveiling event for you all to come along to the centre and see it too.
