CityHub is opening its first pilot location in Amsterdam!!! For this we need the help of new generation travellers. Your pledges allow us to further develop the HUB and create CityHub Beta, a fully operational mini hotel, in our own apartment in the centre of Amsterdam. This pilot version will contain four Hubs, a nice lounge area and already makes use of our interactive platform. The lounge will be decorated in CityHub’s warm, hip and informal style, where you will find us as your host. To reward you for your support we invite you to come over and experience CityHub. HELP FUND CITYHUB and see what stuff we offer in return!! To find out more about CityHub read below!
1. The amounts presented are in UK Pounds. A pound equals about 1,20 Euro.
2. To support our project you need to make a Crowdfunder account. Be aware that when you deposit money on your account, it has not necesarily been assigned to a pitch yet (when a pitch has been funded, you will receive a confirmation email).

Low cost travelling and the information revolution brought about a new generation of urban travellers. These travellers are open-minded, interactive and desire value for money. They are networkers, socialisers and wanderers that want to get the most out of their visit to the city. They like to experience the local culture and to get in contact with like-minded travellers. You might be one of them...
We surely are. We are Sem Schuurkes (28) and Pieter van Tilburg (26), two of such passionate travellers who recognized that current hotels and hostels do not fulfil their needs. We therefore came up with CityHub.
We created an automated hotel that features cool, state-of-the-art prefab sleeping units, called Hubs, that provide a unique sleeping experience and allow us to offer privacy and comfort for the lowest price in the city centre. We also developed a smart online platform that creates an interactive community where guests share experiences, get in contact and exchange information. A login suffices for access to the Hub so the need for a check-in is eliminated. Bathrooms at CityHub are shared like in a hostel. In the lounge there is an interactive wall that shows what’s going on in the city and what CityHub’s community is talking about.
Not us, but you are the one who creates CityHub’s unique vibe. You enjoy, interact and share experiences and therefore you ARE CityHub. CityHub does not function through a set of rules or laws, but out of respect for one another. Accordingly, you are your own bartender. You can serve hip and high quality drinks from a giant minibar. CityHub’s operational activities are fully automated and otherwise outsourced. This means that the 24/7 host devotes his full attention to interacting with you and making you feel at ease. CityHub forms the perfect base from which you can explore the beautiful cities in the world.
CityHub’s most unique feature is the Hub. The Hub is a private sleeping unit that offers a comfortable place to sleep for two persons and some space to change clothes and store luggage. Each Hub features a large comfy two-person bed, an iPod docking station and multicolour mood lighting. The Hub is designed to minimize the usage of space without sacrificing privacy and provides the guests with a surprisingly cosy sleeping experience. It is sound proof and built of fire resistant materials to ensure an enjoyable and secure place to sleep. The Hub’s modular construction allows it to be easily built up in, and extracted from existing buildings. This allows CityHub to use temporarily empty office space or turn old unused buildings, that currently serve no purpose, into a cool urban style hotel.
