Sovann Komar Outreach Program for Education is part of an existing children's charity based in Cambodia called Sovann Komar. Sovann Komar is an orphanage, home to 55 children who now live with their surrogate families in a safe, clean, happy, green haven.
SKOPE works alongside Sovann Komar to help those less fortunate outside the capital. We identify rural communities and approach their schools to offer our help. Each project is different, tailored to the needs of individual schools. SKOPE's projects cover the following areas:
- exercise books, stationary etc
- motorbike helmets and road safety lessons
- water wells
- toilet blocks
- hygeine lessons
- classroom repairs
- new classrooms
- tree planting
- playgrounds
- desks and chairs
- outdoor seating areas
- blackboards and other teaching supplies
- reading books
All money raised on this page will go directly towards our upcoming projects. We have just completed a donation day for two schools in Kampong Thom Province. Watch the video above to find out how it went.
Our next school is located in Kampot Province where another NGO provides English lessons to 400 students, most of whom attend for free. We want to purchase classroom supplies to help these teachers provide the best education possible. Dictionary, posters, flash cards, and speakers are among the times requested by this school.
We have also just purchased high-quality motorbike helmets for the children who live at Sovann Komar and enroll in our school to help keep them safe on Cambodia's dangerous roads.
