Project aim

We are seeking financial support to continue to provide a launch pad for emerging artists, creating opportunities for growth.

About the project

Love Art ? Then get involved with Studio Eleven Gallery, one of the few entirely artist run galleries in Southend. We urgently need your help to continue, to do this we you can join in creating our 'Tower of Support'.

By becoming a sponsor of the Studio Eleven Gallery you will be helping to support local artist's exhibit and promote their work. In many cases, emerging artist's lack the resources to fund a gallery exhibition and achieve public attention. By providing financial support you will enable us to mount more professionally co-ordinated exhibitions, bringing more artists work to a broader audience. you will receive regular online updates of Gallery events and preview invitations.

Background

The Gallery was established by Andrew Hall in 2003, with the aim to become a venue for locally based artists to show and sell work. Over the years it has hosted dozens of exhibitions by upcoming and established artist's, as well as Andrew's paintings, which remain popular and successful. The rear of the gallery is also used as studio space, with regular classes for adults.

In 2008 regular exhibitors joined with Andrew and Debbie Hadley to form an artist's collective, which was renamed Studio Eleven Gallery. The majority of members are from an Art teaching background or the commercial advertising industry. The group helped develop the Westcliff Art Trail, bringing amateur artist's and local businesses together. The trail also involved schools and local churches in an art event that raised the profile of the Milton Community partnership. This led to our involvement with Essex Summer of Art, co-ordinated by Essex County Council. We had the pleasure of hosting the launch in2010, which was covered by BBC radio. Other exhibitions have included Priory People; where the Gallery was filled with children's drawings on postcards created with the guidance of Debbie Hadley, as part of a Pinpoint Create project.

We are endeavouring to continue in providing a launch pad for artist talent, creating opportunities and supporting personal development.
