In the last week Sophie has been very very poorly. Requiring hospital treatment for what was thought to be liver failure. She had been put on a drip, antibiotics and liver treatment, also bloods and ultrascans have been taken. The treatment seemed to be making a difference for the first 24hours. Unfortunately after 48 hours she took a turn for the worst. Another ultrasound scan had shown up a gullbladder mucoceles. This is a blockage of mucuas and bile of the tube that carries bile from food and fats away from the liver and pancreas. This swelling had reached around 8cm-10cm in circumference and was ready to explode full of bacteria containing bile . Which would result in death if not operated on. Sophie has been taken to to the royal school of veterinary studies in Edinburgh for the operation estimated to cost£4000-£6000 but could be more . It's Risky with complications and no Guarantee of survival. Looking for help from friends family and anyone who cares to help give her a fighting chance .
