My niece, Sumayyah and myself, Nahila, will be climbing Mount Snowdon on the 10th October 2015. This is to raise money to support two refugee families in Jordan, so that they can rebuild their lives.
About the project
Asalam alaykum/hello brothers and sisters.
Humanitarian Family Aid is a small unit, which was founded by Aminah. Aminah with other volunteers are directly on the ground in Jordan and comes across heart breaking cases on a daily basis. We have direct contact with them and making sure the money raised, goes directly to those that so desperately need it. HFA works on 100% donation policy. All personal costs are covered by ourselves and in no way or form is taken out of money raised for these refugees.
Myself and my beautiful niece, have pledged to raise insha'ALLAH at least £2000 to support two families that have become refugees and are struggling to rebuild their lives. We will be climbing Mount Snowdon on the 10th October 2015. This
will take us 5-7 hours to complete, followed by a 5 hour drive back to the safety of our own homes. This will be our first ever time walking/climbing Mount Snowdon, but know it is in no way near what these families go through on a daily basis.
The first family, orphaned after their parents were killed in Syria two years ago. The eldest at just 14, has taken it on board to look after his 4 siblings, the youngest only 5. Now living in Jordan on the bare minimum, their rent has been covered for 3 months. We need to raise funds to at least cover their rent, utility bills and food for the year.
The second family, a brother and sister originally from Iraq, but fled to Jordan. Their father was taken by masked men and after a year of searching, was found in a hospital. He was so badly beaten that he no longer recognises his family. Their mother never returned from a supermarket trip after severe bombings in Mosul. Till this day they truly do not know what happened to their mother. The young boy has not spoken since. They were originally taken in by a extended family member, only to be abused and treated very badly. The sister has since left and is living where she can, in hope her situation will change to be able to be united with her brother. Allow us to raise funds for them to be able to unite them to become somewhat a family again and rebuild their lives for a better future.
There are thousands of children like this displaced because of war. This is not even a drop in the ocean, but I ask if you could kindly donate generously to allow at least these two families to be able to rebuild what they do have left.
Jazak'ALLAH Khairyn and thank you for all your support.
